Lewitt Audio was founded in Austria in 2009, with the sole aim of shaking up the microphone industry with style and innovation in equal measure. The MTP 250 DM is no exception. With its internal dampening features, broad & consistent frequency response and smart design features, you'll be amazed at the differences this dynamic handheld mic will make to your performance!

Rugged Construction

The outside enclosure of wire-mesh cup and ring is made of sturdy spring steel while the body consists of durable zinc die cast parts. The inner enclosure is made of resilient but lightweight nylon reinforced ABS. This design ensures the best possible protection for rough daily touring routines.

No Noise – Ever!

An internal dual shock mount system ensures as little handling noise as possible. Innovative rubber suspensions provide the best possible dampening of unwanted structure-borne noise caused by hand-movement.

The MTP 250 DM has an amazingly consistent polar pattern across its entire frequency spectrum, ensuring every detail is captured. As well as this, everything below the Lewitt logo can be gripped by the hand hand thanks to rear rejection of -25 dB – guaranteed super-high gain before feedback.

Dynamic

A dynamic microphone is a type of microphone that uses an electromagnetic principle to convert sound into an electrical signal. It consists of a diaphragm attached to a coil of wire placed within the magnetic field of a magnet. When sound waves hit the diaphragm, it causes the diaphragm to move, generating an electrical current in the coil, which is then sent as an audio signal. Dynamic microphones are known for their durability, ability to handle high sound pressure levels, and resistance to moisture, making them ideal for live sound situations and rugged environments. They are commonly used for vocals, instruments, and public speaking.

Live Microphones

A live microphone is a microphone designed for use in real-time sound amplification during events like concerts, public speaking, or theatre performances. These microphones are built for durability to withstand the physical demands of live events, often featuring cardioid or supercardioid patterns to reject unwanted noise from the sides or rear. They are typically used to capture clear and focused sound, ensuring high-quality audio for both the performer and the audience, and are chosen based on their ability to handle varying sound levels and environmental conditions.

Microphone

A microphone is a device that captures sound and converts it into an electrical signal. It works by using a diaphragm that vibrates in response to sound waves, which are then translated into electrical impulses. Microphones are used in a wide range of applications, from recording music and broadcasting to public speaking and live performances. They come in various types, including dynamic, condenser, and ribbon microphones, each suited for different recording environments and sound qualities.

Vocal

A vocal microphone is specifically designed to capture the sound of the human voice with clarity and detail. These microphones are typically used in recording studios, live performances, and broadcasting. They come in various types, with condenser microphones being the most common for studio use due to their sensitivity and wide frequency response, capturing the nuances of a voice. Dynamic microphones are also popular for live vocal performances due to their durability and ability to handle high sound pressure levels. Vocal microphones are engineered to focus on capturing the tonal qualities of the voice while minimizing background noise, ensuring the vocals stand out in the mix.
