Superior Vintage Tube Warmth
Cutting no corners, Avantone partnered with no fewer tan six boutique capacitor manufacturers (including Solen, Nichicon and Wima) to develop custom components worthy of delivering the BV1 Mk II’s desired sonic quality.
The microphone’s capsule is a hand picked and edge-terminated CK12-style diaphragm measuring in at 34mm. Powered by 6072A low-noise tubes, the BV1 Mk II is also equipped with a custom output transformer specially designed by Cinemag for the job.

Despite it’s vintage-style heritage, BV1 Mk II includes all the trimmings that modern microphone users enjoy including a custom shock mount, pop filter attachment, hard shell brief case with partitions for all accessories, and a high quality 7-pin cable manufactured by Sommer Germany.
The BV1 Mk II’s character is described as massive with excellent versatility. With a huge lower-register and smooth airy tops, the microphone is a perfect partner for any vocal, percussion, piano, strings, brass and even guitar cabs.
