Neumann are one of the first brands you may think of when dreaming of the ultimate mic set for your studio. They have a long lineage of making amazing microphones that have captured some of the worlds greatest artists and found a place in nearly every studios mic selection.

One Mic To Rule Them All..

The New TLM107 builds on the experience of the past, providing a fantastic new option for studio owners. Rather than try to recapture the classic models and sounds of the past, this new mic brings a new generation of Neumann design to create the cornerstones of the next generation of studio recording. If you are at the point where you’re ready to shell out your hard earned cash for your first Neumann, the TLM107 is a fantastic choice thanks to its amazing versatility. With a usable frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz, you could probably record quite a few of your tracks with your Neumann mic and they will sound fantastic. This is because its designed with a number of features that help it adapt to each recording situation.

Full Control With The Joystick Selector

The frequency response of the TLM107 is virtually flat, save for a natural bass roll off and a small kick in the 8-10kHz region which Neuman says adds “presence and freshness to the voice”. However this mic is not just to be saved for vocalists. The TLM107 is equipped with a gorgeous joystick function selector that gives you the option of 5 different polar patterns, 2 HPF filter settings(+ bypass) and 3 levels of pre-attenuation (0,-6dB,-12dB). These kind of features are not new on Neumann mics, however they usually come in at double the price point, and have never looked this cool.

Each of the chosen settings are shown with blue LED illuminations which turn off after 16 seconds. Just click the joystick to make changes and your done. The 5 polar patterns you have at your disposal include omni, cardiod and figure of 8 with intermediate wide-cardiod and hyper-cardoid patterns thrown in too! The available filter points offer solutions to real situations; 40Hz for rolling off below the 41Hz fundamental of a open E on a double bass, and 100Hz for achieving a great vocal sound straight from the mic.

German Precision

As we have come to expect from  Neumann, the quest for perfection is evident in the TLM107. The acoustically optimised grille automatically reduces the sensitivity to pop sounds, the edge terminated transducer protects against moisture and dust, ensuring your mic lives well beyond your own recording life.

Showing the mark of quality this fantastic bundle comes with a gorgeous wooden box to keep the mic safe in and a Neumann clip to ensure you’re getting the best sound possible.
