The ADX51 utilises a cardioid polar pattern which means its more sensitive towards the front, and less so towards the back. The result is a more direct recording that isolates the sound source and doesn't pick up as much ambient noise or sound from other instruments. This mic has durable construction, a frequency range of 40hz – 18hz, a 14mm gold vapour diaphragm and -10 dB pad and bass roll-off filter at 150 Hz.
