The Mic Cast HD is super portable thanks to its small size and light weight, and is really convenient to use – it uses snap-on magnetic mounting and simply plugs into the 3.5mm headphone jack on your mobile device or computer (newer Apple devices will need a converter). There's a built-in headphone out on the mic that can be used to monitor the audio as you're recording. It's also powered by your mobile device so you don't have to fiddle around with batteries.

This mic has a dual capsule design which means you can set it to capture audio from the front, rear, or both. This way you can get the audio focused on just yourself, or your subject with less surrounding noise getting in the way. The dual gold-sputtered electret condenser capsules and 24-bit, 96 kHz A/D converters provide high quality, detailed, and accurate sound. This mic also comes with a windscreen so you can get a clear recording outdoors.

The iRig Mic Cast HD is compatible with any app that records audio so you can get great sound whether you're recording a YouTube video, doing an Instagram livestream, or on a FaceTime call.
