Brand

Meinl

Meinl is a German, family-owned music company founded in 1951, best known worldwide for cymbals and percussion instruments. While they are not a large-scale microphone manufacturer, Meinl design specialist audio products to support their percussion range, focusing on practical, musician-friendly solutions rather than broad studio mic catalogues.

Meinl microphones are particularly well suited to percussion and acoustic instruments, especially cajons, djembes, congas and frame drums. Their percussion mics are designed for close, internal or low-profile placement, making them ideal for live use where quick setup, minimal stands and a natural body sound are more important than full studio versatility.
