Ordo Audio

Ordo Audio is a UK-based boutique microphone manufacturer known for high-quality condenser microphones designed for studio and broadcast use. Their microphones focus on clarity, low noise and a clean, modern sound, making them suitable for vocals, podcasting, voice-over and detailed studio recording.

Ordo mics are typically aimed at creators and studios looking for premium performance without unnecessary complexity, with an emphasis on build quality, reliability and accurate sound capture rather than heavy colouration.

Dynamic Microphones

Dynamic microphones use a moving-coil or related robust capsule design and are often chosen for live sound, broadcast, drums, guitar cabinets, vocals and loud sources. They generally tolerate handling and high sound-pressure levels well, while many need more preamp gain than a sensitive condenser. Compare polar pattern, proximity effect, off-axis behaviour, grille and mounting, plus the available gain and noise performance of the interface or mixer. A dynamic microphone can be a focused close-range tool, but the model’s response and placement determine whether it suits speech, stage or instrument work.
