Description

The Rode Broadcaster is a Large Diaphragm Condensor microphone that’s perfect for getting clear and consistent results in broadcast vocal situations.

The Broadcaster has become an industry favourite in professional radio stations thanks to its tailored frequency response that emphasises the proximity effect to get that rich vocal timbre expected when recording speech audio.

Designed for Broadcasters

The Broadcaster has a number of design features tailored for the accurate recording of speech. The microphone has a native frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz response with a naturally low noise floor, but this can be tailored with a selectable 75Hz high pass filter that cuts out low end rumble from unwanted external sounds like air conditioners and background traffic. There’s also a built in pop filter that will catch high energy plosive sounds that can distort your audio.

On-Air

The Broadcaster features an ingenious On-Air indicator on it’s body that can be easily configured to denote when the mic is live or not. This is done by wiring it with the ‘channel on/mute’ function on your console, and is a really useful feature for broadcasters recording in live sessions. If not connected in this way the light indicator will shine any time the mic has power.

Features

  • HF2 1” capsule with gold plated diaphragm
  • On-Air indicator LED
  • Ultra-low noise
  • Voice tailored low-cut feature
  • Internal pop-filter
  • 10 year extended warranty when you register your microphone
