Microphone accessories cover the practical hardware that supports capture: stands, boom arms, clips, shock mounts, pop filters, windscreens, reflection filters, cables, cases and other mounting or protection products. The useful comparison is usually fit and compatibility rather than a new microphone sound. Check thread size, microphone diameter, connector type, cable length, weight capacity, mounting position and whether the accessory suits a handheld, studio, broadcast or instrument setup. Good accessories reduce handling, plosives, wind and placement problems while making the microphone easier to position safely.
