The sE Electronics sE8 Omni Condenser Microphone is a versatile studio microphone for natural recordings of instruments rooms and ensembles. Its omnidirectional pattern collects sound around the microphone making it useful for room ambience acoustic groups and sources where an open realistic result matters. The handcrafted half-inch true-condenser capsule covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz and offers a low 15 dB equivalent noise level helping quiet details remain clear. For louder material switchable 10 dB and 20 dB attenuation settings increase the maximum sound pressure handling to as much as 161 dB. Selectable 80 Hz and 160 Hz low-cut filters reduce rumble footsteps and unwanted bass before recording. The compact microphone runs on standard 48V phantom power and connects through a three-pin XLR output. A microphone clip with thread adaptor and a windscreen are included so it can be mounted and used with a suitable interface preamp or mixing desk.
