Description

The AKG C7 Reference Condenser Vocal Mic is New Delivered to all areas of the UK using our roadie delivery service.

The C7 is a gig ready condenser microphone that's perfect for both lead and backing vocals.

Condenser microphones are often the preferred choice for vocals in the studio. However, on stage they are on the whole less durable and more sensitive to feedback and picking up unwanted sound from the rest of your band. The C7 has been designed so that you can get that studio condenser sound without the issues and worries of taking it on stage.

This custom hand-held mic has all the pristine clarity and sparkling high end that you expect with a condenser, but has been specially designed to withstand the rigours of a life on tour. Using custom-designed components and circuitry, the C7 prevents feedback, handling noise and pop noise interfering with your performance.

Main Features

  • Custom-tuned supercardioid condenser capsule for studio quality on stage
  • Open-space capsule design for excellent gain before feedback
  • Mechano-pneumatic shock absorber suspension eliminates handling noise
  • Multi-layer pop noise protection eliminates plosives
  • Patented ultralight 24-karat gold AKG capsule technology guarantees highest durability

Here's what AKG say about the C7:

AKG CONDENSER SOUND QUALITY

The C7 microphone features a custom-tuned super-cardioid condenser capsule with hand-selected components, so your voice is reproduced with pristine clarity and sparkling highs. The C7 also handles incredibly high sound pressure levels, for maximum fidelity during your loudest performances.

OPEN-SPACE CAPSULE TECHNOLOGY

When your mic picks up sound from stage monitors, it can cause ear-splitting feedback. C7 virtually eliminates feedback thanks to a custom-designed open-space capsule. Two window ports along the capsule allow increased air flow through the capsule. This yields a lighter, thinner capsule that provides unprecedented super-cardioid response throughout the whole frequency spectrum.

PROPRIETARY SHOCK ABSORBER SUSPENSION

The C7 features a proprietary mechano-pneumatic shock absorber suspension that ensures handling noise won’t clutter your sound. The capsule sits on top of a unique rubber, preventing vibrations from reaching the capsule.

MULTI-LAYER POP NOISE PROTECTION SYSTEM

The C7 features a three-layer pop noise rejection system to protect your vocals from annoying plosives. This multi-layer system includes the proprietary mic grill, dense foam underneath the grill, and a mesh layer that encases the capsule.

RUGGED CONSTRUCTION

With extremely rugged zinc alloy construction and spring steel grill, the C7 stands up to the most demanding tour schedules. And its 24-karat gold plated capsule protects the microphone against moisture and corrosion.
