The compact ATM230 Artist Series instrument microphone is specially designed for use with drums. The mic’s proprietary capsule excels in high SPL applications, delivering full, well-rounded audio with an exceptional low-end. The hypercardioid polar pattern keeps the focus on the sound source, directionality that is aided by the mic’s low-profile design, which allows it to be placed in a wide variety of setups. All this makes the ATM230 ideally suited for miking toms, snare and other percussion instruments.
Key Features:
- Metal Construction:
Perfect for it’s suited use of recording drums, we don’t advice hitting your microphone, but it stands a good chance against a drummer in full swim. - Hypercardioid Polar Pattern:
Drums are one of the hardest instruments to capture nicely, this is due to the overspill from other elements all competing for the sonic space. A hypercardioid polar pattern allows you to focus on what you want to record and minimise spill from other sources. - Included Case:
Who doesn’t like a good case? Keep all your components together between shows or sessions.
