The Earthworks M23 Omni Measurement Microphone is New Delivered to all areas of the UK using our roadie delivery service.

Speaker calibration; room acoustic measurement; sound system setup; any of these scenarios and more can be undertaken with the help of the M23 omni measurement microphone from Earthworks. Crafted from durable materials, the mic offers low handling noise, is rated at 140dB SPL and can withstand harsh environmental settings.

Use with Industry Software

The M23 can be used in harmony with FFT-based real-time audio system measurement software (such as SMAART, REW, SIM, FuzzMeasure and Electroacoustics Toolbox etc). This is due to a linear phase response and super quick impulse response. It can even be used for loudspeaker design and the alignment of your PA system.

Dynamic Microphones

Dynamic microphones are known for their durability, high sound pressure handling, and controlled response. They are commonly used for live vocals, guitar amps, drums, and broadcast applications, where reliability and resistance to feedback are important. Dynamic microphones do not require phantom power and perform well in loud environments, making them a dependable choice for both stage and studio use.

Microphones

Microphones are essential tools for capturing sound in recording, broadcast, and live performance. Different microphone types are designed for different sources, environments, and uses, from studio vocals and instruments to live sound and field recording. Choosing the right microphone depends on factors such as sound source, room acoustics, sensitivity, and the character you want to capture.

Omnidirectional

Omnidirectional microphones capture sound equally from all directions, providing a natural and open recording that reflects the full acoustic environment. They are often used in studio, live and location settings where an accurate sense of space and room ambience is desired.

Because they do not favour a single direction, omnidirectional mics are less affected by proximity effect and handle movement around the microphone more smoothly. This makes them ideal for group vocals, round-table discussions, ambient recording and situations where consistent sound pickup is more important than isolating a single source.
