We used a pair of WA-14s on the toms. They replaced the josephson e22s we’ve used on our toms for years. They are just more open and a little brighter which works well with my (Zach here) toms being tuned usually pretty low. Jimmy Eat World

Warm Audio have tried to recreate this vintage-inspired construction with their “Lens Kondensator” LK-12-B-60V capsule, based off the renowned CK12 capsule design. It also has a custom premium CineMag USA transformer, and this combination of components lets you record a range of instruments with genuine and convincing old-school sonics.

You can capture anything from aggressive or soft vocals, raucous to gently-picked guitars, or punished percussion. Use the WA-14 as your perfect go-to mic in your studio, serving many purposes.
