Here's what Warm Audio say about the WA-47JR Vintage FET Microphone:

Like Father. Like Son.

The WA-47jr is an FET transformerless version of the highly renowned classic ‘47 microphone that has been used on countless hit records for the last 50+ years.  The WA-47jr utilizes the same "true '47" k47 style capsule found in our flagship WA-47 tube condenser microphone.  The WA-47jr is fully discrete, has 3 polar patterns and is designed for pro studio, home studio, live, and broadcast applications.  The WA-47jr sounds great on vocals, acoustic/electric guitars, acoustic/electric bass, drums, piano, strings, brass/woodwind instruments, and an array of other sources.

Quality components make a better mic.

The WA-47jr proudly utilizes a custom k47 style capsule reproduction, designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response as the vintage part.  Our version of this capsule (model# WA-47-B-80v) is carefully manufactured by an Australian capsule manufacturer with careful precision and repeat-ability.  The WA47jr's low-noise and discrete signal path then paired with an excellent true '47 style capsule allows this mic to obtain a very similar tone to the classic ‘47 microphone at a much lower price tag.

Microphone

A microphone is a device that captures sound and converts it into an electrical signal. It works by using a diaphragm that vibrates in response to sound waves, which are then translated into electrical impulses. Microphones are used in a wide range of applications, from recording music and broadcasting to public speaking and live performances. They come in various types, including dynamic, condenser, and ribbon microphones, each suited for different recording environments and sound qualities.

preorder

A preorder is an order placed for a product before it is officially released or available for purchase. Customers who preorder a product typically do so to secure the item in advance, often with the promise of receiving it as soon as it becomes available. Preordering is common for highly anticipated items, such as new technology releases, books, or limited-edition products, and may come with exclusive bonuses, discounts, or early access. This process allows businesses to gauge demand and ensure they have enough stock for the release.

RECORDING EQUIPMENT

Recording Equipment encompasses the essential tools used to capture, process, and produce audio in both professional and home studios. This includes microphones, audio interfaces, mixers, preamps, monitors, and recording software, all working together to achieve high-quality sound. Whether for music, podcasts, voiceovers, or film, recording equipment is key to transforming performances into polished, professional audio.

Studio Microphones

Studio Microphones are designed for professional recording environments, delivering high-fidelity sound capture with exceptional detail and clarity. They are used for vocals, instruments, voiceovers, podcasts, and more, offering a wide range of pickup patterns and sensitivities to suit different recording needs. Studio mics often prioritise low noise, wide frequency response, and natural sound reproduction, making them a key tool in any recording setup.
