Wireless microphones send a microphone signal from a transmitter to a receiver, commonly in handheld, lavalier, headset, instrument or XLR adaptor formats. Compare analogue or digital transmission, operating range, frequency coordination, diversity, latency, battery type, charging, connector and the included microphone or pack. Venue rules and local spectrum conditions can matter as much as the headline range, and a wireless system still needs suitable gain, placement and monitoring. Check compatibility between transmitter, receiver, capsule, antennas and accessories before expanding an existing setup.
Wireless identifies a radio microphone system or accessory. Compare frequency band, range, diversity, latency, batteries, connectors, coordination and local venue requirements.
