The Sennheiser EW-DX SKM (U1/5) Handheld Transmitter is a digital UHF transmitter body designed for Evolution Wireless Digital systems. Built without a power switch for tamper-resistant operation, it features a rugged metal housing and the Sennheiser Standard Capsule Interface to support a wide range of Sennheiser and Neumann microphone heads (capsule not included). A persistent E-Ink display keeps vital information visible even with the batteries removed, while charging contacts enable in-device charging for streamlined turnarounds. Powered by the BA 70 lithium-ion battery (sold separately), it delivers up to 12 hours of runtime. The SePAC codec provides a massive 134 dB input dynamic range, eliminating transmitter gain staging and keeping audio pristine from whisper to roar. Network-ready software, including Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Wireless Systems Manager, and the Smart Assist App, simplifies deployment and remote monitoring.
