The rugged gooseneck is available in C/S – 30cm (12in), and ideal for fixed and mobile installations. CGN99 C/S comes with an integrated XLR phantom power adapter with 250Hz bass rolloff. The phantom power adapter connects to any standard mixer input with 9V to 52V power supply.

Cardioid
A cardioid microphone is a type of microphone that has a directional pickup pattern, meaning it primarily captures sound from the front while rejecting noise from the sides and rear. The term “cardioid” refers to the heart-shaped pattern of sensitivity, which is most sensitive directly in front of the microphone and progressively less sensitive as the sound source moves to the sides or behind it. This makes cardioid microphones ideal for isolating a sound source, such as vocals or instruments, from unwanted ambient noise, making them particularly useful for live performances, studio recording, and broadcasting.
Gooseneck
A gooseneck microphone is a type of microphone mounted on a flexible, adjustable arm or “gooseneck,” which allows for precise positioning of the mic. The gooseneck is typically made of a bendable metal or plastic material, enabling the microphone to be easily adjusted to various angles and distances from the sound source. These microphones are often used in environments where the mic needs to be positioned at a specific point, such as in podiums, conference rooms, or broadcast studios. The flexibility of the gooseneck allows for hands-free use while ensuring optimal sound capture, making it ideal for speech, presentations, and broadcasting.
Live Microphones
A live microphone is a microphone designed for use in real-time sound amplification during events like concerts, public speaking, or theatre performances. These microphones are built for durability to withstand the physical demands of live events, often featuring cardioid or supercardioid patterns to reject unwanted noise from the sides or rear. They are typically used to capture clear and focused sound, ensuring high-quality audio for both the performer and the audience, and are chosen based on their ability to handle varying sound levels and environmental conditions.
Microphone
A microphone is a device that captures sound and converts it into an electrical signal. It works by using a diaphragm that vibrates in response to sound waves, which are then translated into electrical impulses. Microphones are used in a wide range of applications, from recording music and broadcasting to public speaking and live performances. They come in various types, including dynamic, condenser, and ribbon microphones, each suited for different recording environments and sound qualities.
