Cloud introduce their latest addition to the Cloudlifter collection – the Cloudlifter X. Featuring their signature ultra-clean gain combined with a custom designed nickel-core CineMag transformer. This delivers an incredible amount of bandwidth at normal input levels, whilst also providing variable amounts of harmonic and saturation as the input signal increases.
The CL-X offers 2 selectable output levels, expanding on the output gain range offered by the CL-1. The default setting is ideal for signals such as an SM57 mic on a snare, whereas the “Max” setting is better suited for quieter source material such as acoustic instruments, podcasting, ASMR, and foley.
For CL-1 owners the Cloudlifter X is a perfect companion piece, giving access to additional gain settings not offered by the CL-1, with the transformer offering sonic flavours that open up a world of possibilities!
