Description

The United Studio Technologies UT Tube67 is a large diaphragm valve condenser microphone designed to capture that classic 60s studio character with modern reliability. Combining a custom UT K67 capsule, NOS EF86 pentode valve and a custom-wound UT output transformer, it delivers a silky, full-bodied tone that flatters vocals and instruments alike, with three polar patterns and studio-ready noise performance.
Built around a 34 mm dual backplate K67 capsule, skinned in a clean-room environment and 24k gold-sputtered on 6-micron Mylar, the UT Tube67 is tuned to original 1960s specifications for an authentic response without the harshness sometimes associated with modern recreations. The result is a smooth, velvety top end, detailed midrange and solid, controlled lows that sit naturally in a mix, whether you are tracking intimate vocals, acoustic instruments or room ambience.
At the heart of the microphone is a hand-selected NOS EF86 pentode vacuum valve, chosen for its creamy, musical character and low noise. Paired with a custom-wound UT transformer made in the USA, the Tube67 offers rich harmonic content and excellent low frequency accuracy, while still providing impressive headroom. With a linear 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, self-noise under 11 dB and a maximum SPL of 137 dB at 0.5 percent THD, it is equally at home on delicate sources and high-SPL applications.
Three switchable polar patterns cardioid, omni and figure-of-eight make the UT Tube67 a flexible tool for almost any studio scenario. An 80 Hz high-pass filter helps tame rumble and proximity effect, while a -10 dB pad lets you confidently place the mic in front of louder sources. Housed in a solid milled brass body with nickel electroplate and satin black finish, it offers the feel and aesthetics of a classic studio workhorse with the consistency and performance demanded in modern production.

Classic Valve Character
The UT Tube67 uses a NOS EF86 pentode vacuum valve to impart a velvety, creamy tone with a warm, intimate midrange. This gives vocals and instruments an instantly familiar, record-ready quality that sits beautifully in dense arrangements without sounding brittle or hyped.

Custom UT K67 Capsule
Its 34 mm dual backplate UT K67 capsule, 24k gold-sputtered on a 6-micron Mylar diaphragm, is tuned to original 1960s specifications. This delivers a smooth, detailed response that captures nuance and air while avoiding the harsh resonances often found in modern capsule designs.

Flexible Polar Patterns and Controls
With cardioid, omni and figure-of-eight polar patterns, plus an 80 Hz high-pass filter and -10 dB pad, the UT Tube67 adapts easily to different sources and rooms. You can tailor the mic to close vocal work, stereo techniques, room capture or loud instruments while maintaining clarity and control.

Premium Build and Low Noise
A solid milled brass body with nickel electroplate and satin black finish provides durability and a premium feel. Combined with self-noise under 11 dB and a maximum SPL of 137 dB at 0.5 percent THD, the UT Tube67 offers professional-grade performance suitable for critical studio recording.
